So did I when I was a phd student. It was very little and other PhDs invited me on purpose to places I couldn't afford.
I'm talking about people doing it on purpose but yeah accidentally doing it is close to the same level of bad.

People at my undergraduate uni were the most obsessed with class I ever met and the most Tory students too.
