I'm just not a fan of him. Mainly because of disagreeing with him on certain things probably unrelated to the thing you linked to.

My main points of disagreement revolve around what he's done in linguistics and his general stance towards academic pursuits.

I'm open to him being right about stuff. Just like I think the Chomsky hierarchy is useful. But I'm not reading a transcript.

I actually think the Chomsky hierarchy might be the best thing he did in the field he used to run, even though he did no further work on it.
