The DOMS in my arms/back — after skipping a good arms day for a few weeks and then doing some serious stuff — is the worst ever ever.

-
-
Bad news is it'll probably peak at 48 hours

-
I'm past 48!
-
This is from Fri. I'm prob having DOMS 2x a week so I'm lucky in that I'm used to it. But yeah, this is more than any I've prev had.
-
But yeah, for most people it peaks the day after. Yes. In this case it didn't.
-
At a talk recently, I saw described a doms-inducing protocol of walking backwards on a treadmill for an hour!
-
What... Why?

-
They love doms as a pain protocol in Sport and Health Science disciplines. Huge pain but no real damage
-
Fair. Is it even necessary for muscule damage? Or just sufficient?

Hot bath? These intervals I'm doing give me supremely sore knees at 3am for some reason :s
-
Sore knees sounds dangerous. Please check out your gait! I had the same problem and corrected mine.
-
Just runners knee I'm thinking. My injures seem to cycle over the years and the shoes. Prefer it to back pain... (prev prob).
-
(attempting to fix this injury by stretching approp)
-
Fair enough. I bought insoles and they super help.
-
Afraid I see similarities between running shoe lore and the discipline of psychology. I doubt a lot holds up / is true.
-
I have scoliosis and can't run. I do have or use to have really bad gait. But yes.
-
Sorry to hear :(
