It's interesting how many people [1 in 10?] assume that even though 90% of my job is coding that I haven't got a very stable/refined taste.

Unfortunately Labview is much better at triggering people than it is at triggering lab equipment

I hadn't even heard of it till now! Why do you have to use it?

Basically it's become "industry standard" for lab equipment software drivers to control complex custom experimental systems

Nearly everything the big optics companies sells comes with Labview drivers, which is good.
