I have seen it. @LoomesGill baron cohen will be unhappy
That's a plus.
Depressing but not just because of the nonsensical content but rather b/c its persistence. It never stops!
Perhaps I should ask this here, and possibly get more diverse set of perspectives (if I'm lucky ;) ):https://twitter.com/irisvanrooij/status/902204926989934592 …
People are more likely than not to follow social norms they are raised according to and this sometimes has plastic effects on the brain
But all people will not follow all norms and there will be divergence/convergence in relation to brain structure
So there is an enormous burden of proof on the bio-psych essentialist. Hope I am responding to the right thing.
Point was meant against essentialism (i.e., no 'male and female brain'), but wording suggest (to a lay person) that characteristics are m/f.
But perhaps that's just limitation of language (& probably I'm repeating an earlier point). Reason I asked, in this context is that it shows
how hard it is to write a (popular) piece against essentialism without the reader still taking away an essentialist interpretation.
