Snowy added,
For creativity and reading comprehension. But there are physiological benefits to not sitting for 8 hours straight, I assume?
I work at a standing desk. It is impossible to be still for 30 minutes the way you absolutely can when sitting.
Do you mean that you stand all the time? I sometimes just stand for an hour or so in the middle of the day when I'm tired of sitting.
I don't understand how you can get tired of sitting, but I believe you. I have scoliosis so that might be why I don't like standing at all.
Sorry to hear that. I just like to get some movement once in a while. When I still used to smoke I got it automatically, now not so much.
Yeah, I'm never still cos of how much I fidget & I get up from my desk > once an hour (toilet break, snack) — I see why you might stand.
Dramatic irony: my desk is a standing desk. It has a thing that makes it into one.
I never use it and you can push the hand crank in so it's not visible.

One great thing about it though is that I can use it to make the desk the correct height for me when I am sitting.
