When a "big name" unfollows me I like to think it's because I'm too edgy for them, at least it helps take the pain away.

For every "big name" that unfollows you, there are many underdogs/underrepresented folk who are grateful you stand for what you believe in.

E.g. If someone's topic is "more time for exams at uni" I would only start doubting whether I earned the accommodation when reading it

TBH I don't actually take unfollows that seriously but I used to and yes, some are unavoidably upsetting.
