Because science on this has served very little useful purpose and only served to shore up discrimination?

That, or you could have engaged in actual 'open' and 'unbiased' scientific debate and argue why those scientists and publications are wrong
-
But hey, that works for me as well... goodnight.
-
you're demonstrating the problem - convincing you about the science is irrelevant, the science isn't settled, and social goals matter more
-
If I am *forced* to choose between "social goals" and science, I choose science. The alternative is being a scientific fraud.
-
When are we forced to do that? Certainly not in this situation: dude: "but science says X" us: "it doesn't, but that's also irrelevant"
-
You wrote: "the science isn't settled, and social goals matter more" "isn't settled" =/= "settled as untrue" "social goals" =/= good science
-
it's just what fits in a tweet.. not settled was in response to the various articles saying the science does/not support manifesto claims
-
social goals being the thing that matter means it doesn't matter whether science says x group tends to y, that doesn't help this situation
