Yep agreed. I think I need to re-think what I was asking :)
I don't think the *doing* of open science is an all-or-nothing proposition: one can engage in some *practices* but not others.
I recall this was an issue for getting some people started, because they thought one had to do all the things, e.g. prereg, open data, OA...
but as a movement, I think inclusion has to be one of the goals. To me exclusivity and gatekeeping are inherently at odds with the mission.
