My whisper network suggests to me that's not much of a gendered issue. It's a challenge for openness though we need to tackle.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of ECRs feel this way. Openness means open to diverse people and inclusive to new people. Agreed.

Not just because it's a funny phrase, but also because people in private confide in different people. Often women confide in other women.

Regardless, your whisper network is saying the same as mine. Open science can be scary and we're/I'm saying we could try and reduce that.
