I agree. Often the work is greatly exaggerated and the important (boring) detail missing... (still there is a middle ground that is ideal)
I'm from an ex colony. But we thankfully maintained our own language.

I quite like "washroom". It's fundamentally the same level of euphemism as "toilet" or "lavatory".

Even "bathroom" is better than "restroom", though. THERE IS NO COUCH IN THERE.
