Olivia Guest | Ολίβια Γκεστ added,
Perhaps @open_con? The excellent @kirstie_j may know of more.
Yes, thank you! I would love to see the stats of per field participation. Which fields actually turn up, and what percentages etc.
The "problem" (only in the context of my question) with @open_con is it's only for ECRs and students. That was not what I had in mind.
ECRs are not the kinds of people, for better or worse, I was referring to in all my tweets. And students are certainly not perceived at
least by many as being bona fide in the field. I am thinking of a conference where established (permanent/tenured) staff who participate in
#openscience also present alongside ECRs and students. I am thinking this doesn't exist even though some senior academics tweet/talk about
I agree - I don't think it exists. I think the idea runs a little counter to the point that open science is a WAY to do your science well >
< not a topic in and of itself. I can imagine that a whole conference on #OpenScience would be too broad to be of use
Really? I went to @pydatalondon and @PyConUK and still learned stuff relevant to cogsci.
My point about why it's not too broad is stated above, in case you missed it BTW. I proposed that many issues are field-independent.
