I understand the rationale, but am concerned this could make us look more closed/clickish/invite-only. Thoughts?

Anyone got tips to push back against attitude “CoC’s are good, but we don’t need a formal one”, “we don’t need to discuss it with all” etc?

I have never had to use my helmet while biking, but that doesn't mean I don't need it.

Nice analogy! Although there's quite a "no helmet is safer" movement building. :-/

Do you mean "no CoC is safer" or literally that no bike helmet is safer?

Not wearing a helmet is safer, like having a big spike in the middle of the steering wheel would make driving safer.

*troll face* Maybe it'll work because we would all drive really slowly?

Its complicated. Drivers drive closer to helmetted cyclists. Helmets promote false sense of safety. Helmets no use in high-speed crashes...
