Migraine preventatives, but yes also used (historically?) for other things. Most drugs go this way.

I actually try not to research new ones too much because I worry about hypochondria. It's unwarranted though as I get side effects always.

I'm pretty sure it's not visual. I have no visual aura and very little visual problems. Typical migraineurs actually lose/lack visual acuity

but I have been thoroughly tested and actually have perfect vision when corrected, which is very rare.
