i was told by some UK (!) scientists to drop multisens research as "old news and old been said".. 2 successful grant apps (in CH) later..
Given my experiences last week, I'd say they definitely are not a fan of the trend: being polite.

is typically a different experience. Bear in mind only 20% popul are eligible to do 3rd edu; rest - vocational.. huge impact. /2

you mean less educated people are less polite?
-
To be fair, it was more than rudeness it was also just plain horribleness. E.g, we asked for a menu in English in a rest w English outside
-
and they said "No and I will not translate for you, try and figure it out". The menu had 4 items and besides asking about the items in any
-
language is normal when ordering. So I dunno. I tend to think less educated people tend to be kind and polite just as often in other places.

Maybe it's not about SES? Just cultural?

TBH "went a stranger to a Swiss restaurant" is how 98% swiss-made horror stories start. they LIKE if u use the respective lands language.

Next one we went to spoke Italian (Spanish, Portuguese) and was willing to try English, so it was fine. One of us speaks p good Italian.
