I'm not sure if more paranoia in science is the way to go though. Double-blind will scare peer reviewers even more: what if it's some1 big?

It's a more subtle point we are making: any changes need to be borne out of a serious evaluation of the systemic issues.

Blinded review is not the same as closed review. In fact blinding, which can be lifted after reviewing is done, might have a place in OS.

Open science is about more meaning than just making everything transparent all the time, but also making everything more accessible.

And by accessible that means eliminating sources of bias against minorities and ERCs. I hope we can agree on some of these ideals.
