I actually try my best not to Google them and usually succeed. In fact don't think I've ever done that while doing the review.

But wouldn't that make sense actually? Comparing authors' previous work on the subject with the manuscript at hand improves review in a way.

Ultimately, it's more rewarding and efficient to recognize and resolve your biases than to work around them in contrived ways I think.

I think it's one thing to try to act against your own biases but another to ask authors to trust reviewers wont be biased against them

At the end of the day everyone has biases they aren't aware of. If you don't know you have them it is very hard to tackle them
