People keep saying halloumi is tasteless — it's actually _really_ not if it was real. The shitty halloumi we have in the UK pisses me off. 
I think it might also be importers mistakenly thinking this is what UK ppl want...

It would be interesting if both were available. I bet most UK people would go for bland as they eat to live rather than live to eat.

BTW I actually hate matured halloumi it's too much for me — but even the milder one in Cyprus is more tasty than UK (no surprise).
