Can't you set up a cron job on your local machine that logs on to github and does what you would manually need to do?

you can do this using travisCI. Put the commands in your .travis.yml, then on travis turn on the repo + settins > cron > daily

FYI - the table of senior academics supporting the campaign is not updated automatically every hour using a cron job on a server.
