In the UK a payment takes ~3secs - I can't believe the US still requires signing for you card????

The US recently moved to chip and sign instead of swipe and sign but it's still sign not pin :(

What by the heck? I've had chip and pin since at least 2007. For a country that is such a tech hub, it's very behind.

They have full Chip & PIN and contactless but many retailers deliberately disable it, much confusion, slow rollout, confusing terminals.
