        Hi--we actually do work in good faith with authors to accommodate revisions in LaTeX format (initial submissions can come in as pdfs).

        It hardly matters. Their editors re-write the article to suit their style and interests after it passes peer review anyway.

        Yeah. We got proofs to review before publication. But it was weird to realize that it is a magazine article ABOUT the research, not a paper.

        And just think: Science is one of the few journals who support LaTeX. The others hand carve each word onto movable type.

        Almost no one supports BiBTeX! if they accept LaTeX, they normally ask for cut-and-paste of .bbl into the .tex. I'm looking at you PLoS
