Sounds like something that should be called out. As I said, it's important to fight the impression that this is what open science is.

The real point for me is this: there should be no "open science". All science should be open, full stop. And racists should be challenged.

it's just that all those discussions are people derailing the issue with their fragility. We have to then patiently explain it all 50 times.
