That being said plugging my laptop into the Mac screen thing (you can tell I'm not a mac person don't even know the name) helps me to work.

But it think I'm just very desk based, esp for programming.

Also yes, even when I code on my Mac I actually ssh into Linux box to run code. Developi on Mac is not for me.

same here. tal just bought himself a linux laptop too and it dawned on me i've had no issues in months, but a much better dev experience

i was mostly saying that for OP. i never had issues with cramping until this laptop.

synaptic drivers weren't designed for large trackpads where you accidentally touch with your palm & fingers so you end up having to hover
