Haven't done squats in ~10yrs. Should my legs feel like jello? The 2 flights of stairs btwn my office & lab are gonna suck today.

Oh yes. Definitely should feel like jello. The weird part? Going down the stairs is going to suck worse than going up.

Found that out as I almost collapsed walking down some steps outside my building.

One solution for marathon runners is to descend stairs backwards. Therapeutic for some. Worth a try?

Beats my current plan of just tuck & roll and hope for a soft landing

@jmcin9@CAndrewFrank@schotz I hope you did them without weights! You gotta start very easy & build only very gradually.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

No weights at all. Just body weight squats for first couple sessions.

Certainly body weight and move up slowly. Otherwise too much pain. And don't forget to foam roll when you can!

My tighs have grown so much but I'm still on 10kg on free weights, altho up to 30kg on leg press. Slow & steady. Your knees will thank you.
