Yes, this is true. But women tend to cluster with women and men with men. OFC a lot of this is already in that we are in different fields

and of course. The *base rates* is very important. But my point is that even if we are FAIR in that moment, it doesn't really matter.

Survivor bias implies there were many women when I started? Out of ~90 men I was one of 5 women. Almost all of us went on to PhDs.
