Absolutely agreed. All I want to add is defaulting to an already biased system on the grounds that OS is so biased won't improve anything.

I don't recommend defaulting. Agreed. Improvements are needed on current system in thoughtful and inclusive dialogue.

And sadly the status quo for many URMs (& ppl in general) is indeed extremely exhausting. I want to challenge and change that.
