In fact given there's quite a few different lines/colours in the original I would go so far as to say for me different line types would help

I think more than one or two colours starts to become garish and even hard to read. I also suffer migraines, some stuff looks physically

painful to us (e.g., neon colours, repeating patterns, etc.)

At the end of the day it's up to you and co-authors etc but remember everybody prefers green for some reason.

Yeah, it can easy to forget that other people can't perceive certain colours. In web design we've got the WCAG guidelines for that.

Although now that I think about it, I haven't done as much testing for that in my own work. Crap.
