One set of data getting scooped once doesn't really seem as substantial to me as bias against women and POC but agree to disagree I guess

I agree, though I've personally known of many cases of serious abuse of leer review anonymity along these lines that never get reported

Oh certainly, I know cases where no anonymity and reviewers sat on review on purpose until they scooped it /ran their own version & publ'ed
