I suppose Pride and LGBTQ+ stuff is kinda my thing. But im honestly pretty bad at it, I don't do anything amazing.

topic should be what you want to do roughly for your career. No point really doing a PhD if you want to industry, unless industry-backed.

YMMV but most people who enter industry after PhD are paid the same as or less as MSc graduates (because skills are usually not valued).

Also having an appropriate PhD mentor is just as much a huge problem you need to solve as is finding the right theme/topic.

Basically think of a PhD as the same as an art. Artists, musicians, etc live and die for their art. You don't describe artists as needed to
