Pubs are great and I super hope you get them before end of your PhD but they aren't everything.
-
My thesis is by publication so I can't finish without them. But I should be able to submit current one soon & next analysis will be faster
-
So hopefully I can have two submitted by Jan/feb
-
And I have another publication from a lab I used to be in, but it's from 2013

I'd agree! Extra context for my prev comment. I was 2nd choice with 0 publications. Guy who got it has 2 years postdoc + 14 pubs.
-
interview, presentation, communication and teamwork skills are a big sell for good P.I.s.
-
The people I have emailed (mostly people I've just found via publications & contacts) with project ideas have been super positive so far
-
Yeah, I know/think you will be fine!

-
Yep, just have to get on with it! Some "milestones" can make me a bit anxious though
-
Who doesn't feel that way though? I don't know anybody who doesn't get stressed about deadlines and milestones.
