Yeah but I can find no way of getting character into that space, which is part of the prompt, other than hacking the prompt.
The prompt might have been indeed hacked like you say, just not by the user.
I'm equally baffled!
what commands did you run previously and did the prompt have a 1 in it?
Let me check (on our lab PC so will have to go access it) I'll post command history :) I imagine we did something accidentally!
