Looks like the avx shared lib that Python was built against is missing from the system. Python tried to call a function that doesn't exist.
I got it — I needed to cast to right type (GeoPandas not Pandas) as it somehow changed (I guess was careless) mid-way through! @DRMacIver

All I've managed to get on export to GeoJSON was ValueErrors from Fiona. (With a boolean column). Clearly not trying hard enough!
-
cast a geopd df to vanilla pd and try to save as json

-
Oh yep, that's a segfault.
-
that is essentially what I accidentally have done

-
I've actually managed to get a dataframe that seems to randomly either give a recursion limit reached error or segfault.
-
ouch jeez — did you also fix it?
-
Doesn't appear to be the first time their JSON serialiser has caused segfaults https://github.com/pandas-dev/pandas/issues/14256 …
-
they are at least trying

FWIW I tend to regard segfaults from a Python library as a bug in the library no matter how careless I was!
