In a certain sense a language *is* a normative guide to how to make noises and marks on paper. ;-)
I'm interested in why our conversations often result in me being corrected but never in us agreeing in earnest.

I think because our points of disagreement are at complex boundaries where we shouldn't be trying to discuss them on Twitter TBH.

FWIW I don't mind being corrected, I'm just not necessarily going to agree with corrections, and discussion on here is hard.

oh I do mind when it's the only way we interact. I'm not that kind of person and I'm almost always low on spoons for this.
