Late to the party, but ICYMI: Interesting post on why we shouldn't teach matlab to students (and other things that make matlab hateable)https://twitter.com/o_guest/status/842794088315404288 …

I don't try to deconvert Matlab people in person — it usually ends badly. I think only one person in my lab currently uses it and
in previous lab only 2. Most use R and Python thankfully. I worry even more about those who don't git TBH.
github you mean? Yea that would be me
never thought I needed that TBH. Need to sort my life out...
maybe a post on good practices/tools? *wink wink nudge nudge*
it's been done a lot but yeah, why not... next weekend/week can't spend time doing that now sadly... check out other blogs tho
would be a nice follow up! But suppose there's a lot already out there, came across a few in the past
yeah exactly... I could try my own version though sure. I need to have a good motivation and it's pretty time-consuming.
I can try to motivate, can't help with the time! It is time-consuming, I stopped blogging so that I could focus on finishing up
yeah I respect that. As a pd it's a different but equally hard balancing act.
