Don't give kids the training wheels of a GUI-based, non-extensible language! Make those 6-year-olds learn Python! :-) Same logic?

Python add-ons like SciPy, NumPy, give similar matrix functionality. They make life easier. So, by your argument, they're bad, no?

yes, I don't think I'm arguing easy = bad at all. And my previous blog post is all about matrix multiplication and neural nets.
