They're excellent though, great work! Do you know any resources for principles of good programming, not specific to one language?

that's so sweet of you — unfortunately not. But I can think of stuff that teaches principles as well as eg python.

That would be great. I mainly focus on R and Python so anything that would improve my coding for them would be much appreciated.

oh a preexisting coder? No idea... Possibly try a programming 101 video lecture within a computer science department? 😇

if you already can code I'm not sure what theory you need? Do you know about time and space complexity?

I'm self-taught with a lot of trial and error. I know my code is very inelegant when other people have looked at it. And no sorry.

so yeah maybe some theory would help you out? I really don't know what happens to people who aren't formally trained.

Some theory would be great! If I get too bogged down in it, I can just concentrate on my code.

I have no idea if this will help. Expect theory and maths. Google tons.

I can recommend the book "clean code". focus is on java and business code but principles are rather general.
