anaconda is about as confusing as the matlab installer. If only data science would embrace ruby :/
I accept it's useful but I'll elaborate with examples of how it's also potentially harmful etc.

me too but I worry that undergrads don't get to experience enough stuff to make informed choices

tbf more universities are moving to teaching Python as default. Good for working from home/extra-study.
