I get certain vibes from certain people that blogging and social media is seen as "too extracurricular" so I thought of asking.

my take is: would you want to work at a place that disapproves of your blogging? If you would, don't add it to your CV, otherwise

-

point taken and added!
-
I have it on my CV in a section called science outreach.

I added it like so html version: http://oliviaguest.com/cv/cv_olivia_guest.html … pdf: http://oliviaguest.com/cv/cv_olivia_guest.pdf …
-
not sure about the extra details as still fluctuating and nascent blog..? Or do you think required?
-
If sending CV to constipated men in an academic office, no. For general consumption on the internet, yes. There is no rule.

-
but I was wondering what academics do, yes.
