there's little motive to falsely accuse somebody of raping you... it's admitting something extremely taboo and shameful: rare

dangling "liars will be shot" or equivalent though is what causes victims to kill themselves when taunted with "you are a liar"

I totally agree, and it really is a delicate situation- but there are cases where people have killed themselves over allegations
