my thesis has a Monty Python reference in it.
and now for something completely different... CHAPTER 6 on a horse!
what did you really put?
cannot remember exact words, but it was about the seductive allure of 'the machine that goes ping'.
haha which machine were you referring to?
oh was it like a high level metaphor mocking dependency on machines without realising what they do?
exactly!
only took me nine hours to figure out
(to be fair I was sleeping for most)
Me. I've hidden dinosaurs
Zoom in on the grey circles in (e.g) Fig 6. They are smiley dinosaurs http://www.psychology.nottingham.ac.uk/staff/mxh/Papers/Le%20Pelley,%20Haselgrove%20&%20Esber%20(2012).pdf …
I love this so much
Off the back of this, another chum dared us to get a dinosaur's nob into a paper...
This was much harder, we weren't even sure if dinosaurs had them! but, in the end, we managed...
that was much harder

I worked with someone who incorporated the word "monkey" into every single manuscript they published. (they did human research)
OMG PICS!!!
I will dig it up shortly!
Also may I suggest #AcademicEasterEgg as a hashtag for this?
