You might be diff. I came from compsci but I think it's offensive to keep saying I'm a compsci, all my pubs are in psychology.

also not just offensive but actually threatening esp to women in psy but that's another can of worms.

yeah. This is why I've always been wary of "comp cog sci" and similar terms. Specificity is useful. But it also cuts the other way

oh I love comp cog sci, although I'd go further and say I'm comp cog neurosci.

I'm in psych but avoid saying it because literally everyone says "are you analysing me now then?", so cog neuro it is.
