Another bit of mendacious marketing busted. Cranberries do not help urinary infections https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27787564
but "cranberry extract" (over-priced baking powder) does lower urine acidity and thus less burning pain, right?
-
-
no evidence for that AFAIK, Plausibility arguments rarely right
@hullodave -
fair enough. I've chronic uti & took baking power 2 lower urine acidity & ease pain, worked for yrs but placebo?
-
I did also do therapy w hormones w specialist at uch & I still test positive 4 uti always but I'm asymptomatic.
-
I don't doubt placebo, but I never thought they lasted over years and years.
-
it's just baking powder anyway.
The overpriced sachets in chemist with cranberries on them are scam. -
Have you had an MRI?
-
No. Took me like 5 years to see a specialist. Immigrant & woman not best combo for believability.
-
also I have 2 other way more serious health problems to focus on getting under control.
