Matlab's matrix syntax beats the pants of Numpy, but that's the *only* thing it does better. I am avoiding R.

I dunno about you but when I did my compsci degree we learned so many from Ada to Scheme to C to Prolog. Some are dead.

You reiterating that C & Fortran are still alive, convinces anybody reading even more about how limited Matlab is IMHO.
