Got asked if I am British at the GP today... I said "yes, I am legally British." Apparently they wanted to know my ethnicity. Not the same.

Confused by that question all the time. I'm American; ancestors were British. Does it mean I'm ethnically British? I tick "other".

I recently needed to look up ethnicity labels used in UK documents for a questionnaire. It's very odd.

the usual list obviously doesn't have "Greek Cypriot". On the usual list I always put "Mixed – Other".
