I think prevalence of cherry-picking is rampant. Ppl think effect is real but only "shows"/"works" in certain DVs.

incentivise is people speaking out in their labs to labmates. I tried it and would get

ignored. E.g., somebody would imply the're doing optimal stopping and Id say "uh pls no"

or that they just ran any test in R to get "best" result, and this was in lab meeting!

I would send round stuff on p hacking to everybody by email too.

It wasn't explicitly condoned to p hack but also not derided. Just there. Ignored. Banal.

yep, also tons of press top down to empirically find required effect. Tons.

I've seen that too. But I had good mentors who restored my faith in science.
