For me, publishing an untrue fact is a nightmare scenario. I'd be desparate to retract it.

wow. my q is was it an honest mistake or fraud? QRPs (until recently) were unfortunate norm. maybe soon, theyll be closer to fraud

There are some instances of p-hacking that cross the line of what seemed okay in 2010 IMO.
