Welp. Just checked the quoted material and the full context, and I had not even seen the stuff that had come after the initial thread and slur, so yeah, this adds another layer to it. Those dynamics certainly justify the quote tweet

Apologies for jumping in, but this is the key question for me: did he attend SIPS? If so, presumably this breaks their COC and he should be banned from future meetings. Also, if he has prior track record, why hasn't this occurred earlier?

Tangent but I just thought of a way conferences on Twitter can help their attendees avoid banned people: they can make and share a conference blocklist of people who have violated the CoC.
