Okay, this is a genuine question, because I'm puzzled. Why is it that every time someone makes a structural critique about underrepresentation of minorities in X it is always met with a "this is offensive to the minorities that are already in X" reply?

My observation is that cis yt folk gallop in on white steeds with a Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass where minority scholars (esp Black women) have been saying things for years and the world turns and listens to the mayonnaise cis het. As if they’re the first.
