It's incredibly frustrating. I despise the rules of the gender performance game, yet here I am playing.pic.twitter.com/18uiqEhxZK

So because I support trans rights men (chasers as well as others types of transphobes) have directed some pretty nasty stuff at me. Including the basic gender stripping ("you will always be a dude") and the hitting on me to talk about t-blockers and hooking up.
I see a lot of the issues that trans women face, esp. in discussions with @ContentLeftist and others, are similar in some important way to those WoC face. WoC, of which I am but pass as white, face a much higher bar when we seek to join (white) women.
WoC are seen as angry, having the wrong body shape, too much hair, ugly (the big nose thing seems to be a recurring theme), our voices are wrong, we're the wrong height, on and on. A lot of issues that cause transmisogyny also cause misogynoir, colorism, colonialism.
Many trans/WoC feminists are asking non-TERF white feminists to make room for us to breathe and it's very upsetting as a state of affairs. So no wonder we might be angry or self-affirming with selfies or whatever. In many cases, we're stronger because we've been through more too.
