Everyone here is recommending the XPS but make sure you get one without the broadcom wifi card if you want to use Linux. I just replaced my 4 year old one with a Latitude (i7, 16G Ram) with intel wireless and it’s much more stable on wifi.

The above is *particularly* true of Eduroam for some reason - if you use this the Broadcom card is a disaster.

Tangent, but eduroam is so picky. My S10 literally couldn't connect to eduroam for months and then does but it's flakey.
